It will provide guidance in formulating and implementing practices which are best suited to the changing needs of the organization. In addition it will provide the knowledge of underlying principles and theories of Organization Development and to build capability across a full range of OD competencies.

The project/ assignment would be marked at 100 marks. Each assignment is broken up into sections and each section carries specific weight age. Missing out any section in your project will affect your final evaluation scores.
The candidates must note that the certification process follows globally accepted standards of evaluation based on a combination of knowledge and skill evaluation which will be done through the research project submitted by the participant.
It will deal with the assessment of your understanding in terms of depth of the concepts for the subject. The project should reflect the practical aspects involved and should have high degree workplace relevance.
The CODA project tests your comprehensive understanding of the concepts of Organization Development. Below are project guidelines for completing your CODA project.

Note: All submitted Assignment will be the Intellectual property of Middle Earth Consultants or Carlton Advanced Management Institute. This may be uploaded on the net and hence any confidential material that is not to be shared should not be put in the assignment. All the project options will be given equal weightage.

Section 1- Project summary (This should ideally be written after the completion of the project)
Project summary should be a one page abstract inclusive of:
Section 2- Analysis of an organization using a strategic tool
Analyze your current organization using any one of the two strategic tools dealt with during the course- Value Discipline or Porter's Five forces.
In case you choose to do analysis using Porter's 5 forces, do a simple plus minus analysis- any force acting in favor of the organization would get a plus and any force acting against should be marked minus. For value discipline, analyze in detail the current value discipline of the organization
Section 3- Organization Analysis using organizational excellence models
Analyze your current organization based on any one of the following :
a) Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award- Present a detailed analysis for each of the 7 dimensions as per the Malcolm Baldrige criteria and calculate the score for each dimension. Give the overall scoring as per the scores on each dimension.
b) 6 Box Model - using the 6 box question model identify key issues in your organization.
Section 4- HR Audit using PCMM
Do a PCMM audit for any 1 of the 5 levels for your current organization and assess the level at which your organization stands

The assessment process will include a set of assignments that you will need to complete. The assignment totals 100 marks.
Break-Up Of Marks
At the end of the assessment we would like the participants to know how they have fared. We have calibrated the rankings as given below from high honors to pass i.e. from excellent to average performance.
The percentage at each level has been arrived at by a statistical analysis. This percentage can vary from year to year depending on the trends.
